FLIR TA74 Universal Flexible Current Probe Accessory

Like the smaller TA72, the FLIR TA74 Universal Current Probe Accessory is a really useful way of adding versatility and range to your clamp meter. The distinctive feature of the TA74 is its 45cm flexible coil clamp which can be threaded through small gaps to gain access to tight wiring that might be out of the scope of a traditional hard-jaw clamp meter. The longer clamp coil makes the accessory suitable for measuring multiple conductors simultaneously as well as giving greater access.

In addition, the AC current measurement range of a clamp meter will almost certainly be improved by the probe’s 3000A capacity. The user gains the choice of 30A, 300A and 3000A measurement ranges and measurements are accurate to within 3%. The AC voltage output and standard banana plug connectors mean that the TA74 is compatible with the majority of clamp meters.

The user benefits from the probe’s lightweight, ergonomic design as well as the usual FLIR build quality which allows the TA74 to withstand a 3m drop. The probe is therefore suitable for use in difficult or hazardous working environments, especially considering the LED work lights for illuminating poorly lit environments.
