The FLIR TG167 Thermal Imaging IR Thermometer is an innovative combination of a single-spot infrared thermometer and a FLIR thermal imaging camera. It eliminates the need for trial and error that comes with a traditional IR thermometer because, when searching for hot and cold spots, the 60 x 80 pixel LCD screen clearly shows the temperature distribution in an object and therefore indicates where to measure. Furthermore, taking a comprehensive look at heat emissions may highlight problems that might otherwise have been missed.

FLIR’s patented Lepton® micro thermal sensor detects differences in temperature to within 0.15℃ (150mK) and the dual lasers highlight the location of the accurate single temperature reading. A measurement range of -25℃ to +380℃ means that the device is suitable for inspecting a wide range of industrial equipment. The small field of view (25º x 19.6º) allows close inspection of fiddly, complex wiring, further enhancing the camera’s usability. With 5 hours of continuous scanning after just one charge and a weight of just 312g, the camera is suitable to carry and use around large sites.

Designed for professionals, the FLIR TG167 Thermal Imaging IR Thermometer is nonetheless simple and intuitive to operate. The user interface is easy to understand and you can simply ‘switch on and go’. It requires no special training to operate and the 24:1 distance-to-spot ratio means that the user can take temperature measurements from machinery at a safer distance. Images and temperatures can be saved to an 8GB Micro-SD card (included) and the USB cable allows easy transfer to a computer for subsequent analysis.
