On a personal note, I am well-practiced at completing inspection, testing and certification on a regular basis. This instrument does everything I need it to do and I'm very pleased with its performance.
I would say that the only 'disadvantages' are that it won't do RCD Auto Test on ratings other than 30mA, but you can perform these tests manually by selecting the value and test required. Another test it won't do is the Phase Rotation, but I don't come across that very often. When I do, I use my GS38 Voltage Tester that can confirm direction of rotation and it takes seconds to do.
For those needing to store and upload results, the KT63 won't do that, but again, on a personal level, I don't need that facility.
All-in-all, a good instrument that ticks all my boxes. Very pleased with it.

There is no "customisation" in its operation. If you don't like how it beeps, or for how long it beeps, or how quickly the display light turns off, then you just have to live with it.
The no-trip Zs reading seems to be freakishly accurate, pretty much bang on matching Ze+(R1+R2) (within +/- 0.01 ohms generally, sometimes 0.02 out), in contrary to some other testers I've tried.
Time for a no-trip Zs is quick... how quick, depends on how you look at it! When you first plug it in (assuming using the plug adapter), you have to wait 7 seconds before it will allow you to press the test button. Once you do, you get a reading within 3 seconds (more like 2), but it won't let you do another test for another 5 seconds.
Slightly annoying is the 3 minute "auto power off", this is particularly irritating if you're doing continuity tests, as you'll have to redo the lead null. I find myself just hitting the test button to avoid this whilst making notes/moving around the installation to avoid this.
It seems rugged and comes in a nice (small) hard case - only room for the supplied leads and maybe a plug adapter. I actually quite like the idea that you need to change the leads over between dead and live tests, but this might not be to everyone's tastes. As others have said, it's small, and not too heavy - about the same size and weight as a "separate".
If it got nicked or trashed, would I buy the same again? Very, very probably. I might think about the 64 or 65, now that I know what the Kewtech's quality is like. But for the money, it's great.

I'm primarilly a domestic spark, and this tester fits the bill. It's so easy to use and the auto RCD test is a lifesaver. The case is also cool too.
Very happy with the service I received, many thanks. The test-meter guys on www.electriciansforums.co.uk were also very helpful, too.
