Megger DET4TCR2 Rechargeable Earth Tester

As part of the Megger DET4 range, the Megger DET4TCR2 Rechargeable Earth Tester provides advanced ground-testing capabilities and a user-friendly interface. It can perform two-pole, three-pole and four-pole ground tests in addition to measurement for leakage current and ground noise voltage. Voltage output can be set at either 25V or 50V with frequencies of 94Hz, 105Hz, 111Hz or 128Hz. The three current output options are 4.5mA, 0.45mA or 0.045mA so the Megger DET4CR2 is extremely versatile.

The user-friendly operation of the Megger DET4TCR2 is another handy feature. It can be easily used whilst wearing gloves thanks to its large dial navigator and thumb-sized test button. Because of the sophisticated design, two-pole testing does not require a shorting link and it very simple to switch between different test modes. The 3.5” backlit LCD screen clearly shows results and the whole package is perfect in the outdoor conditions associated with earth testing.

The Megger DET4TCR2 has large measurement ranges for ground voltage (1 to 100V), current (1mA to 20A) and resistance (0.01Ω to 200kΩ). Accuracy is helped by the device’s ability to negate background voltage noise up to 40V peak to peak and the different frequency settings also help in this regard.

The AA batteries within the Megger DET4TCR2 are completely rechargeable and the device even comes with AC/DC adaptor as standard. The battery level is displayed using a bar graph. It complies to various safety regulations including Cat VI to 100V under IEC61010-1 and the casing is weatherproof to IP54 standard so the user can be sure to rely on this earth tester.
