About Power Quality Analysers

A power quality analyser is an instrument which is connected to an electrical supply with the use of current transformer (CT) clamps and voltage connections. The unit is designed to be left in situ for a period of time, with some models able to record voltage, current, voltage/current waveform peak, active power, reactive power, power factor, phase angle, frequency, current integration, power integration, efficiency, loss, voltage/current ripple factor, harmonics, electrical noise and many more. Upon completion of analysis the data can then be downloaded onto a PC for analysis using a software package.
