Electricians, simply plug your Insulation and Continuity tester (digital or analogue) into the Calibration Checkbox to test for continuity readings (0.5 to 10 ohms) and insulation resistance (0.5 to to 50 Mohms).
This Calibration Check Box enables electricians to meet the requirements for Part P and BS 7671 for certification purposes and for those registered on the Domestic Installer Scheme to meet their requirements. "Bought one of these as I was joining a Part-P competency scheme (Elecsa) and though it might help me prolong the time between calibration. Seemingly - according to assessor - they need to be calibrated annually, even though the CCB1 instrument could prove the meter was within +/- 5% accuracy.
It's perfectly good kit and could help to check that the meter hasn't corrupted mid-year."
