The Peak Atlas LCR is an advanced instrument that greatly simplifies the testing of passive components. Traditional LCR bridges are inherently complex and very time consuming to use. The Peak Atlas LCR does everything automatically, it tells you the component type in addition to component value data. What’s more, the Peak Atlas LCR40 automatically selects the best signal level and frequency for the particular component under test. It will measure inductance between 1μH and 10H,capacitance between 0.4pF and 10,000μF, and resistance between 1Ω and 2MΩ.

Its really easy to use, just clip the universal test leads to your component and press the test button. In seconds, the Peak Atlas LCR40 will identify the type of component (Inductor, Capacitor or Resistor) together with the component’s main value. Additionally, further component data is also displayed, such as the DC resistance of an inductor. The test frequency is automatically selected to suit the component under test and this is also confirmed on the scrollable display. During its automatic LCR analysis, the Atlas LCR40 decides for itself whether to use direct voltage or an alternating voltage of either 1kHz, 15kHz or 200kHz, the display also tells you which has been used for the analysis.  Successive displays are shown when you press the ‘scroll-off’ button on the tester, the display cycling round until it reaches the first displayed value. Holding the ‘scroll-off’ button down for about a second switches the LCR meter off. It has battery save feature which switches the tester off after approx. 20 seconds.
