Robin TX90 Microwave Oven Microwave Leakage Detector Testing Meter. The Robin TX 90 microwave leakage level meter / detector kit is ideal for anyone involved in the testing or maintenance of domestic microwave ovens / cookers and commercial ovens. The TX 90 microwave leakage detector kit measures the leakage level so you can test the compliance of micro wave ovens to BS 5175. The unit can detect microwave leakage from seals, doors and cooker cases. The microwave test kit includes 2 x 500ml beakers and a precision thermometer to check that any microwave radiation leaking he microwave ovens capability is within specificationand doeas not exceed 5mW/cm2.

Microwave Leakage Measuring And Safety Testing
Unless microwave cookers and ovens are periodically tested they may become a health and safety hazard without you being aware. Testing of the microwave ovens include a measurement of the radiation levels around the oven using a microwave leakage detector meter like the Robin TX90 to ensure compliance with the 5 mW/cm2 limit. Lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance of the door seals and rough handling can often lead to microwave leakage measurement levels in excess of the recommended limits as laid down in BS5175. Safety interlock switches and the door seals should be inspected for any signs of damage to ensure that they function correctly and safely. Many professional organisations also include PAT testing to also ensure the electrical safety of the units.
