SEAWARD PRIMETEST 50 PAT CHECKER
This Seaward appliance safety checker is easy to use, battery powered, very portable and lightweight. The Prime Test Fifty is small and easy to handle it is ideal for anyone new to PAT Testing, only 3 buttons to press!.
This PAC Checker (portable appliance checker) couldn't be easier to use, inspect the electrical appliance for any damage that could compromise safety, identify the Construction Class of equipment ie Class 1 (earthed appliance - 3 core cable), Class II (double insulated appliances - 2 core cable), or a mains cable (detachable mains power cord - IEC) connect the electrical appliance, push the appropriate test button (there's only 3 ! - Class 1, Class II or Cord buttons) and the PAT test safety results will be clearly shown on it's bright display, It shows X symbol for an appliance failure and a tick for a Pass ie. its passed the electrical safety checks. You then need to check the appliance works and operates correctly, ie no arcs, sparks, unusual noises, burning smells, and turns off and on, correctly. If you are happy that the appliance is safe, then attach a Permatag Passed Safety Test Label (see below) on the cable. Record your inpections and tests on a PAT Certificate Pad (see below), you will then have complied with with a lot of legal requirements.
The Primetest 50 PAC Checker is ideal for testing the electrical safety of UK office electrical equipment items like: computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, PC's, IT equipment and computer IEC leads. They are often used by charity shops, care homes, small shops, small businesses, bed and breakfast and guest houses.
The Seaward Primetest 50 PAT checker moves faster between tests, saving time, money and resources. Along with the other members of the Primetest family: The Primetest 100, Primetest 200, Primetest 220 and the Primetest 300. Optional Seaward PATGuard Walkabout software allows you to record your testing on a PDA.
There is no need to plug this PAT checker into the mains supply to do PAT checks. We would like to inform you that the Seaward Prime test 50 has set preset pass/fail limits, if you are testing long extension leads or earthed appliances with long cables the Primetest 50 may display a fail for earth bond. you would be advised to look at the Seaward Primetest 100 instead, this unit gives actual test results as well as a Pass or Fail Indication..
