Megger TPT210 Two Pole Voltage Detector

The new Megger TPT210 Two Pole Voltage Detector provides electricians and electrical engineers with safe and convenient voltage indication. The TPT210 voltage indicator also offers continuity testing, RCD function checking and 2 pole phase sequence indication. Although primarily used for testing in electrical installations the TPT210 can be utilised for testing auto electrical, fire alarm systems and telecom.

The TPT210 has a dual coloured LED display that provides AC and DC voltage measurement from 6 volts to 1000 volts in eight steps, with any voltage measurements greater than 35V being accompanied by an acoustic sounder. Additionally the Megger TPT210 voltage tester has an RCD/FI test function that allows for the simple testing of 30mA RCDs, RCBOs and safety breakers. A test between phase and earth on a circuit protected by an RCD, RCBO or safety breaker will not trip these devices. Compared with many other types of two-pole tester, the phase sequence indication feature has been simplified so that the test probes are not required to cross. Both audible and visual continuity testing ranging from 0 to 500kΩ is also provided by the TPT 210.

With safety in mind the TPT210 voltage detector is CAT IV 1000V rated with an IP65 rated body. The detector has a built-in safety feature to warn users of dangerous voltages even if the batteries are exhausted. The GS38 tips are also provided with protective shrouds.
