EICR-Codebreakers-NO-PRICE

The original NAPIT EICR: Codebreakers was published in 2017 to help inspectors and contractors correctly code observations made during Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs). The publication has now been fully updated to the BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and this new version of the book will be released later this year.

The information in the book has been revised and expanded to provide more extensive guidance to contractors, inspectors and clients as they negotiate this extremely technical area of the industry. In particular, these updates include:

  • Existing codes now compliant with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Hundreds of new observations and codes
  • New section: Guidance specifically for inspectors
  • New section: Guidance specifically for clients
  • New section: Frequencies of inspections and tests
  • New section: How to carry out risk assessments, with detailed sample forms
  • New information for the social housing sector

Mike Andrews, NAPIT Group Chief Executive, said ‘The uptake and positive feedback that we received from the original publication was overwhelming, and there is always a high demand for us to present our EICR Codebreakers presentation across the country to various companies and audiences after the success we experienced at the ELEX Trade Shows throughout 2018. The updated version has had input not only from NAPIT’s senior technical team, but also a range of professionals across the industry, ensuring that this is the most reliable guide of it’s kind available today.’
