C.Scope MXT4 Datalogging Transmitter

The C.Scope MXT4 Datalogging Transmitter works in combination with C.Scope MXL4 Cable Locators to accurately find and trace all manner of underground cables and pipes. The transmitter facilitates this through its wide range of frequencies and large power output whilst the datalogging function constitutes a really useful additional feature.

The C.Scope MXT4 is capable of producing signals at five different frequencies: 131kHz, 33kHz, 8kHz, 640Hz and 512Hz. The first two can be produced simultaneously and the 131kHz frequency is ideal for locating and tracing thin, short or poorly-earthed cables. The 8kHz frequency is suitable for longer or deeper-lying pipes and cables whilst the two ultra-low frequencies have particular specialist tracing applications.

The energising signal can be applied to buried metal pipes or cables via the wraparound, direct contact or above ground induction methods. A fully adjustable power output up to 1W is perfect for energising longer, deeper cables thereby allowing them to be traced over a longer distance. A pulsed output is ideal for noisy environments.

Recent activity can be seen on the C.Scope MXT4’s backlit digital display thanks to its internal memory which automatically logs everything the transmitter does. A full log of this activity can be downloaded to a PC with the C.Scope PC Toolkit via a USB cable.

The IP65-rated casing on the C.Scope MXT4 is completely weatherproof and the transmitter also has an in-built accessory tray. An automatic daily self test means that regular calibration is not necessary and the manufacturer provides a three year warranty.
