Castle dBAir Class 1 Handheld Safety and Environmental Sound Monitoring System

The Castle dBAir Handheld Safety and Environmental Sound Monitoring System is a comprehensive package designed for performing checks of environmental noise in addition to measuring personal sound exposure of staff members. The Castle dBAir Safety and Environmental Sound Level Meter is the main instrument of the system and is complemented by a GA607 Class 1 Calibrator, GA690 electronic barometer, pro account licence for Castle Cloud storage software, and a rubber case.

Sound can be measured from 20dB to 140dB over two separate 95dB linear ranges by the Castle dBAir Sound Meter. The microphone detects sound between 10Hz and 20kHz with Class 1 accuracy and 0.1dB precision and frequency can have A, C or Z weighting. It is also possible to adjust the response time between 10ms and 24h and the meter can assess various parameters such as Lspl, Leq, Lmax, peak, personal dose, exposure points and percentiles.

Results are shown on the Castle dBAir’s vibrant colour screen in both graphical and digital formats and the meter is easy to operate thanks to its intuitive push buttons and simple menus. Results are saved to the meter’s 16GB internal memory and can be automatically uploaded to the Castle Cloud online facility via the wireless Wi-Fi connectivity. A three-year pro account licence for Castle Cloud software is included within the set for up to five users, each with his/her own instrument.

The Castle GA607 Class 1 Sound Calibrator included within the system transmits two tones within its half-inch cavity in order to accurately calibrate the sound meter before beginning checks. An electronic barometer - the GA690 - measures pressure from 0 to 1300mbar so the user can accurately adjust for different atmospheric conditions. A rubber case for the Castle dBAir sound meter is included as standard.

Octave band analysis can be added to the purchase by clicking the checkbox above. The octave band version of the system also comes supplied with a protective carry case for the entire set.
