Castle dBAir Handheld Environmental Noise System

The Castle dBAir Handheld Environmental Noise System contains the Castle dBAir Class 1 Environmental Sound Level Meter plus useful accessories which allow the user to perform accurate BS 4142 checks, boundary noise checks, construction noise monitoring and compliance testing. These accessories include a calibrator, barometer, software licence, carry case and rubber protective casing.

The Castle dBAir Class 1 Sound Meter itself can measure sound from 20dB to 140dB across two separate 95dB linear ranges. The Class 1 microphone picks up sound frequencies between 10Hz and 20kHz with a measurement precision of 0.1dB. Frequency can be weighted to A, C and Z and response time can be set between 10ms and 24h whilst several different variables - Lspl, Leq, Lmax, Lmin, peak and percentiles - can all be measured including simultaneous measurement of two at once.

The large internal memory of the Castle dBAir can save thousands of results and these can be automatically uploaded via Wi-Fi to the Castle Cloud online storage facility. A three-year licence for five different users is included allowing five operators with five different meters to access data from anywhere in the world almost in real time. The large colour display shows readings dynamically and allows the user to operate the meter using intuitive menus.

A Castle GA607 Sound Level Calibrator is included. It produces two tones (94dB at 1kHz, 104dB kHz), thereby allowing an operator to check the Castle dBAir at two points in its range. It must simply be inserted into the calibrator’s 1/2” cavity in order to be accurately calibrated. A Castle GA607 electronic barometer allows the user to compensate calibration for atmospheric pressure as it measures pressure from 0 to 1300mbar.

The Castle dBair Handheld Environmental Noise System also features a rubber case for the sound meter and a protective case for the entire system in order to facilitate work outdoors. The kit is also supplied with the standard accessories of the Castle dBAir Sound Meter including a wind muffler and USB cable.
