Castle GA116I SONUS Class 1 Integrating Sound Level Meter

The Castle GA116I SONUS Class 1 Integrating Sound Level Meter is a compact, portable combination of a sound level meter and a personal dosemeter. It measures sound levels between 35dB and 140dB over three different measurement ranges with a maximum linear range of 65dB. The 7146A microphone provides Class I level accuracy and measurement resolution of 0.1dB. Leq (rms average), LEpd (personal exposure) and peak measurement allow the user to comply with the Noise at Work Regulations 1989 when performing risk assessments.

The user can select either A or C frequency weighting and the Castle GA116I detects sound between 20Hz and 20kHz. There is also the choice between fast and slow response time and multiple other measurement options can provide the operator with a comprehensive picture of the audible environment. The meter complies with standards including IEC 61672-1:2002 Class 1, IEC 60651: 1979 Type 1, IEC 60804: 2001 Type 1 and IEC61252: 1993.

Readings (in dB or Pa2h) are shown on the Castle GA116I’s clear digital screen alongside other values such as time elapsed, overload and under range indication and battery life (>12 hours). The meter is operated via simple push buttons and intuitive menus and is encased in hardwearing plastic in order to withstand the challenges of industrial environments.
