The Castle GA141SE dBAir Class 1 Safety & Environmental Sound Level Meter is a versatile sound meter and dosemeter that is equally useful for performing Noise at Work assessments as it is for carrying out environmental noise monitoring. It has two measurement ranges - 20dB to 115dB and 45dB to 140dB - with a linear operation over 95dB and Class 1 level accuracy. The meter can detect sound between 10Hz and 20kHz in frequency and has an extremely low noise floor of 10dB which makes it ideal for environmental use.

Frequency weighting can be set at either A, C or Z and the Castle GA141SE’s response time can be set as slow or fast with adjustable timing from 10ms to 24h. The environmental features of the meter include percentile and interval measurement whilst the safety-oriented functions include personal exposure, ear protection calculation, and dose measurement. The meter can also measure Lspl, Leq, Lmax, and peak whilst dual-channel measurement allows simultaneous measurement of two different variables.

The simple push-button interface can be used to navigate through the user-friendly menus that are shown on the large colour screen. Readings are automatically stored in the Castle GA141SE’s 16GB internal memory and can then be uploaded via Wi-Fi to an online storage facility which is accessible from anywhere in the world. Alternatively, the user can perform a data transfer using the USB cable provided. All files are saved in a handy spreadsheet format and no additional software is required.

The Castle GA141SE dBAir is a compact instrument weighing just 480g and has a battery life of approximately 16 hours.
