The Castle GA2004E Electronic Tool Timer is a useful instrument for taking Hand Arm Vibration (HARM) measurements in accordance with the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005. This is because it is important to measure the actual amount of time a tool is vibrating against the operator’s hand when in use aka ‘trigger time’. This instrument measures the trigger time of electric power tools for accurate calculation of exposure.

To start measuring trigger time, the user need only hook the Castle CA2004E up to the electrical supply of a power tool. Different versions for different voltages and currents (110V, 230V, 415V; 16A, 32A) are available and the user can also choose between a direct wiring version and a socket version. The trigger time is then shown on the one-line digital display and there is a key which allows an authorised person to reset the timer.

The Castle GA2004E is also useful for purposes other than HARM measurements. The measurement of actual operation time allows the user to plan proper preventative maintenance accounting for real usage. This can save time and money by preventing costly breakdowns.

An IP rating of IP44 certifies that the Castle GA2004E is resistant to water ingress and it is designed to withstand the challenges of day-to-day use in challenging environments.
