Castle GA2006S Vexo Single Axis Machinery Vibration Meter

The Castle GA2006S Vexo Single Axis Machinery Vibration Meter is specifically designed for monitoring environmental vibration on heavy-duty machinery and other sources of mechanical vibration. The meter can catch changes in the vibration signatures of machines which can often indicate developing faults. This helps the user target preventative maintenance and avoid costly down time.

The Castle GA2006S measures various vibration factors including acceleration over two different ranges with two separate units: 0.005m/s2 to 20m/s2 (0.00051g to 2.04g) and 0.05m/s2 to 200m/s2 (0.0051g to 20.4g). The velocity measurement goes from 0.06mm/s to 250mm/s and from 0.6mm/s to 2500mm/s whilst displacement can be measured from 4µm to 16500µm and from 40µm to 165000µm. The meter is capable of measuring vibration average, maximum, peak, and crest factor and has linear ranges of 72dB for acceleration and 60dB for velocity and displacement.

In order to perform accurate assessment of different types of machinery, the Castle GA2006S has three different frequency weightings (2Hz to 8kHz; 2Hz to 1kHz; 1kHz to 8kHz) which pick up on problematic vibration levels. A low noise floor of <0.002m/s2 means the instrument is very sensitive and suitable for measuring a wide range of different machinery.

The internal memory of the Castle GA2006S has space for 992 readings which allows the user to track vibration patterns over time. Results can then be downloaded to a PC using the supplied USB cable or accessed via the vibration meter’s vibrant colour display. Simple three-button operation allows the user to take readings very easily and the screen even shows a PASS/FAIL indication according to ISO 10816-1, 3 and 7 for different aspects of vibration from the machine under test.

The compact ergonomic design of the Castle GA2006S and tough plastic construction is ideal for use in industrial settings. An accelerometer with 1m cable, rechargeable battery pack, removable spike probe, USB cable, carry case and Vibdata LITE software are supplied as standard.
