Castle GA216I SONUS Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter

The Castle GA216I SONUS Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter combines the functionality of a regular sound pressure level meter and a personal dosemeter. It can measure sound level from 35dB to 140dB over three different measurement ranges (65dB linear range). The meter can measure with precision of 0.1dB with and with Class 2 accuracy and detects sound with a frequency of between 20Hz and 20kHz. The user has a range of measurement options such as Leq (average reading), LEpd (personal exposure) and Cpeak.

Frequency weighting can be set as either A or C and there is an additional choice between fast and slow response times. It is easy to select the correct function and weighting and the Castle GA216I is even capable of simultaneous measurement of two different variables. It meets various regulatory standards such as IEC 61672-1:2002 Class 1, IEC 60651: 1979 Type 1, IEC 60804: 2001 Type 1 and IEC61252: 1993.

Readings can be given in either dB or Pa2h on the one-line digital display alongside indications of time elapsed, overload and battery level. An intuitive menu system with push-button navigation makes the pocket-sized meter very user friendly. The hard wearing plastic casing is extremely durable and the battery lasts for roughly 12 hours.
