Castle HAVi HARM Vibration Exposure Timer
The Castle HAVi HARM Vibration Exposure Timer is the UK’s most popular hand arm vibration (HARM) timer, offering the user accurate trigger time measurement over 1000 hours. The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 require monitoring of exposure to vibration and the HAVi is the most cost-effective way to keep track of this ‘trigger time’ and monitor the level of vibration exposure amongst workers, thus safeguarding their health and wellbeing.
Operating the Castle HAVi is incredibly straightforward. It is simply attached to a vibrating tool, such as a handheld drill, using cable ties and the mount on the back of the timer. From there, it will accurately detect vibration and measure the amount of time vibration of hazardous frequencies is passed through the operator’s hand and arm.
The reading is shown as a time reading and in terms of HSE exposure points on the digital LCD screen and the Castle HAVi even has amber warning light for when an operator reaches 100 exposure points and a red light for when the points total exceeds 400.
To help minimise impact on operations, the Castle HAVi is extremely compact and lightweight. The waterproof and dust-proof design stands up to the most challenging of conditions and the timer is extremely easy to programme.
