Castle KD1009 Whole Body MEMS Seatpad Accelerometer

The Castle KD1009 Whole Body MEMS Seatpad Accelerometer is designed for use with the Castle Excieo range of vibration meters to help assess whole body vibration caused by workers sitting on mobile machinery and on work vehicles as they are driven over uneven surfaces. Whole body vibration has been known to increase the risk of developing back pain among workers so it is important to keep an accurate record of measurements in order to prevent ill health.

The whole body seat pad can accurately measure the vibration experienced via the seat of a vehicle over its operating range of ±3.6g with an output voltage of 1000mV/g. It can detect vibration with frequencies from 0.1Hz to 125Hz, thus focusing on vibration that is actually harmful to the body.
