Castle Noise at Work Assessment Starter System

The Castle Noise Assessment Starter System is a cost-effective solution to performing assessments in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. The main instrument of the system is the Castle GA216I SONUS Class 2 Sound Level Meter which can measure sound from 35dB to 140dB over three overlapping 65dB linear ranges. Frequency weighting can be set as A or C and the Class 2 microphone can detect sound between 20Hz and 20kHz in frequency. Various parameters including Leq average sound level, LEpd personal exposure and Cpeak can be measured using the meter.

Results are shown on the one-line digital display in dB and Pah2 and the Castle GA216I also benefits from extremely simple operation. It can display additional information such as time-elapsed, overload and battery level. The simple push-button navigation is easy to use and it has a compact, durable design for use in the field.

In order to ensure accuracy, the Castle Assessment Starter System comes with a Castle GA612 Class 2 Sound Level Calibrator. The 94dB, 1kHz tone produced in the half-inch cavity allows the user to check the measurement range of the Castle GA216I, thus maintaining accuracy during assessments. The meter and calibrator are supplied in a useful attaché case for storage and transport.
