"An extended AC current measurement range"

  • Description

    Chauvin Arnoux CA5005 Analogue Multimeter

The Chauvin Arnoux CA5005 Analogue Multimeter is a versatile analogue multimeter which is capable of measuring AC/DC voltage up to 600V, DC current up to 10A and resistance up to 1MΩ. It is supplied with an additional current clamp which allows measurement of AC current from 3A to 300A. Further functions include continuity testing with an audible buzzer whilst ohmmeter mode boasts two additional features: a ‘Voltest’ voltage warning light and automatic zeroing. A special HBF fuse test allows continuity tests to be carried out on fuses.

The needle-based analogue display provides instantaneous readings to the user and quickly responds to fluctuations in outputs. A choice of ranges on the Chauvin Arnoux CA5005 allow the user to take very precise measurements - even down to µA for DC current - and overall basic accuracy is just 1.5%.

An innovative articulated Multistand™ allows the user to keep the Chauvin Arnoux CA5005 stood vertically on uneven surfaces or wall hangings so it can sit very near to connections and remain visible when the operator is working on a circuit. It is double-insulated and conforms to 600V Cat III standard whilst the IP53-standard protective casing also helps protect from knocks and scrapes. The instrument is operated very simply through a dial system so poses little challenge to the user.

The user benefits from the Chauvin Arnoux C.A 5005’s three-year manufacturer’s warranty and the 9V battery provides enough energy for 10,000 different measurements. It comes supplied with test leads and test probes in addition to an MN 89 mini current clamp.
