The Chauvin Arnoux CA6116N Multifunction Tester is a comprehensive instrument that can verify whether installations (TT, TN or IT) meet all relevant national and international requirements thanks to a comprehensive list of measurement functions. These include basic MFT functions such as voltage and frequency measurement, resistance measurement, continuity testing, insulation tests, earth tests, loop testing (1mΩ resolution), line testing, RCD testing, and phase sequence indication. Furthermore, the CA6116N also has advanced features for more in-depth inspection of system performance and status such as power calculation and harmonics analysis for straightforward troubleshooting. Current can be measured through an optional current clamp.

In addition to this extremely large range of different measurement functions, the Chauvin Arnoux CA6116N has several other practical features. Firstly, contextual information aids both experts and beginners when making connections whilst a supplied mains cable also helps in this area. Operation is easy thanks to the simple dial function selector, push button interface and intuitive menus which are displayed on a large colour screen. The LCD display shows dynamic, graphical representations of system outputs in order to give the user as much information as possible at a glance.

Three-level data storage on the Chauvin Arnoux CA6116N helps the user organise findings and data transfer can be carried out simply via a supplied USB cable. Furthermore, two free sets of software ease the analysis process. Firstly, the tester itself contains its own custom software for carrying out analysis on the device whilst Chauvin Arnoux DataView® software for PC contains report templates and helps transfer data over from the tester to a computer.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6116N comes provided with a range of different accessories to help the user get on with the job straightaway. A fully-charged battery powers the instrument for 30 hours and it is safety rated as Cat III 600V whilst voltage presence indication helps protect the user from hazardous voltage.
