Chauvin Arnoux CA742 Voltage Absence Tester

The Chauvin Arnoux CA742 Voltage Absence Tester is a handy low-voltage, two-pole voltage absence tester which helps the user safely follow safe isolation procedures before starting work. Its red and green LED bar-graph display gives a nominal voltage indication from 12V AC/DC to 690V AC and 750V DC whilst the device can also perform single pole phase testing, phase sequence testing, and continuity testing. The CA 742 provides feedback to the user through the LED display and via a loud audible buzzer whilst the ELV (Extra Low Voltage) warning light provides an additional alert to dangerous voltage levels. The frequency of the flash indicates the severity of the danger.

The ergonomic form of the Chauvin Arnoux CA742 allows it to be operated in comfort and the cables and test probes are easy to remove and replace. The device is Cat IV rated to 600V and has a comprehensive auto-test function to ensure accuracy. A 5mm guard shields the operator’s hand from voltage sources and the device’s IP65 protection rating certifies suitability for indoor and outdoor use. The instrument is supplied with 0.85m lead with a black test probe alongside a wrist strap, batteries and a black soft case. To add removable IP2X ø4mm test probes to your order, simple click the checkbox above.
