CO Carbon Monoxide Meters

CO Carbon Monoxide Meters

Carbon monoxide is produced when fuel-burning appliances such as gas boilers fail to burn their fuel efficiently, resulting in CO which is an odourless, colourless and highly dangerous gas. Our wide range of handheld and desktop CO meters and monitors allow users to check ambient CO levels in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.

About CO Carbon Monoxide Meters

Carbon monoxide is produced when a faulty fuel-burning appliance fails to properly oxidise carbon atoms within its fuel as a result of inefficient combustion. Carbon monoxide (CO) takes the form of a colourless, odourless gas that is slightly lighter than air and it is extremely dangerous with ambient concentrations of over 35ppm toxic to humans and concentrations of 1500ppm lethal. It is therefore extremely important to monitor carbon monoxide levels in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.

Our wide range of carbon monoxide meters and monitors includes both handheld instruments and desktop instruments, thus allowing a user to keep a constant record on CO in an environment or investigate specific warning such as staff developing poisoning symptoms or a CO alarm sounding. Whilst almost all of our CO meters feature alarms, they should mostly not be used as a personal CO alarm and building should always be supplied with audible CO alarms.
