The Drummond MTL15PD Test Lamp and Proving Unit Kit is a complete set for proving electrically dead in high-power applications including wind turbines, USP systems, high-power motor drives, and energy-intensive process industries. Proving dead is an important part of maintaining a safe working environment under the Electricity at Work Regulations.

The principal instrument of the Drummond MTL15PD Kit is the Drummond MTL15 Test Lamp. The lamp can work at AC/DC voltages up to 1000V with nominal LED bar graph indications at 50V, 230V, 400V, and 690V. The bright display is easily seen from 360˚ and the test lamp is suitable for supply-side applications thanks to a Cat IV 1000V rating according to BS EN 61010. Connection to voltage sources is made via twin probes and five different probes are provided including standard probes, right-angled probes and long probes.

The Martindale PD690 Proving Unit acts as a known voltage source, an important component of the proving dead process as it allows the user to verify the performance of the test lamp before and after every use. It provides a 690V DC supply that illuminates the entire LED display of the Drummond MTL15.

Finally, a useful Martindale TC69 Soft Carry Case is also provided which allows the user to protect, transport and store the test lamp, proving unit, and the spare test probes.
