    ETI RayTemp® 38 Long Distance Infrared Thermometer

    PLEASE NOTE: Not all infrared thermometers are suitable for accurately measuring body temperature or detecting fevers (such as those commonly associated with COVID-19 or Influenza).

    For applications such as these we recommend the 8836M Non-Contact Forehead Ir Thermometer or Extech IR200.

    The ETI RayTemp® 38 Long Distance Infrared Thermometer is ideal for use in industries where temperature measurement of remote objects is required. The very large 50:1 distance to spot ratio means that the user can precisely target non-contact, surface temperature measurements from a long distance. The thermometer has an IR temperature measurement range of -59.9˚C to 999.9˚C with accuracy of ±2˚C or ±2% and a resolution of 0.1˚C or 1˚C. Emissivity is set to 0.95 as standard but is user-adjustable between 0.1 and 1.

    In addition to an IR sensor, the ETI RayTemp 38 has a type K thermocouple connection that is accurate to ±1˚C or ±1%. The connection is very versatile and can work with any type K thermocouple, meaning that the user can select one or more probes that best suit their needs. Please note, however, that no probes are supplied as standard with the ETI RayTemp 38.

    The ETI RayTemp 38 has a backlit digital screen that is ideal for poor lighting conditions. Furthermore, the operator can view minimum, maximum, differential and average temperatures in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Adjustable alarms can be set so that there is an instant warning if temperatures fall outside acceptable limits. The thermometer operates on a simple trigger system for non-contact measurements and other options can be accessed using the simple push-button interface.
