    Extech CG206 Coating Thickness Tester

    The Extech CG206 Coating Thickness Tester is ideal for measuring the thickness of coatings on various surfaces and is suitable for measuring both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. Automatic substrate recognition means that the user doesn’t need to guess at the material of the coating.

    For ferrous coatings, the Extech CG206 uses magnetic induction to measure thickness between 0 and 1350µm with ±2.5% accuracy and a resolution of 0.1µm. Measurements need a curvature radius of at least 1.5mm, minimum diameter of 7mm, and a minimum thickness of 0.5mm.

    Non-ferrous measurements can be performed between 0 and 1350µm with ±2.5% accuracy and 0.1µm resolution. These are performed through eddy current measurement and require a curvature radius of 3mm, a minimum diameter of 5mm, and a minimum thickness of 0.3mm.

    These capabilities make the Extech CG206 ideal for checking paint thickness and quality control on galvanising and anodising. Readings are shown on the backlit digital screen alongside information about the measurement.

    Operation is conducted by push buttons and a simple menu system. There are direct and group working modes and the Extech CG206 can save up to 1500 readings in its internal memory before downloading them via a USB port.

    The Extech CG206 comes supplied with calibration iron, calibration aluminium, batteries, a USB cable, data transfer software and a soft pouch.

    We also offer delivery options for goods required urgently on certain products, all which are sent by DPD/Interlink.
