Extech HDV650-30G Borescope Plumbing Kit

The Extech HDV650-30G Borescope Plumbing Kit is an excellent option for plumbers thanks to the 30m fibreglass camera probe. The waterproof, semi-rigid cable is strong enough to dislodge small blockages and long enough to reach deep into pipework in order to assess real conditions and find problems. Images are provided by the 25mm camera head which has a 60˚ field of view and a long lens which allows the user to see the camera’s surroundings in high definition. 12 integrated LEDs illuminate the surroundings with up to 8000Lux so every detail is clear on screen. Images and video are transferred back to the monitor unit to view. A spool is supplied to coil the probe cable when not in use.

Images and video are shown in high definition and colour on the Extech HDV600 Monitor Unit’s 5.7” 640 x 480 pixel screen. It is well-illuminated so it can be used in bright sunlight and in gloomy conditions but the clever design means that there is no glare from close up. The Extech HDV650-30G Kit comes with a 2GB SD card which has space for up to 15,000 images or four hours of HD video. The user can add voice annotations to video in order to make observations without having to interrupt filming. A USB cable enables easy data transfer to a PC whilst an AV output means that live or recorded images can be shown on a larger monitor.

The camera head and cable are both IP57-rated and therefore waterproof whilst the monitor unit has an IP67 protection rating so is even more robust. Additionally, the Extech HDV600 has been drop tested to 2m so it is ideally suited to use on large sites. The push-button operation is designed for both right- and left-handed use and it is designed for use with gloved hands. The monitor is also covered by a two-year warranty.
