Extech HDV650W-10G Wireless Borescope Plumbing Kit

The Extech HDV650W-10G Wireless Borescope Plumbing Kit contains a camera probe, wireless module and monitor unit for performing inspections of the inside of pipework. The 25mm diameter camera head has a 60˚ field of view and 12 integrated LED torches which enables a very detailed view of the camera’s surroundings. The long-focus lens also means that the user can capture a clear image of everything over 60mm from the head. The camera is located at the end of a 10m fibreglass cable which is semi-rigid and can therefore dislodge small blockages. It coils onto a supplied spool for storage and transport when not in use.

The Extech HDV650W-10G’s camera probe connects directly to a wireless module which can then transfer images and video to the monitor unit up to 30m away. The wireless unit can control the brightness of the camera LEDs and allows the monitor to be viewed more easily when the cable is fully extended.

High-definition, colour images and video are shown on the Extech HDV600 Monitor Unit. The monitor has a 640 x 480 pixel HDs screen which has strong illumination in order to remain visible in poor lighting conditions and bright sunlight without exposing the user to glare from close up. A 2GB SD card is provided alongside the unit and this can store up to 15,000 images or four hours of video. A particularly useful feature of Extech HDV650W-10G Kit is that the user can add voice annotations to videos. Data can be transferred by removing the SD card or by using the supplied USB cable and an AV output allows images or video to be shown live on a larger monitor.

All the components of the Extech HDV650W-10G Kit are fully waterproof with IP57 ratings for the wireless unit and camera probe and an IP67 rating for the monitor unit. The display unit can also withstand a 2m fall onto a hard surface so the whole kit is ideal for a wide range of plumbing applications. The operating buttons of both the wireless module and the monitor unit are specifically designed to be used with gloved hands or by a right- or left-handed user.
