Extech MA1500 1500A True RMS CAT IV Clamp Meter

The Extech MA1500 CAT IV Clamp Meter measures AC and DC current up to 1500A, AC voltage up to 750V and DC voltage up to 1000V. The clamp can provide readings for resistance up to 40MΩ, frequency up to 40MHz and capacitance to 40mF. Notably it also takes temperature readings between -100 to 1000˚C and measures duty cycle from 10.0 to 95.0%.

Utilising a spring loaded 52mm jaw size the Extech MA1500 can be used on conductors up to 500MCM and motor start up currents can be captured using an inrush function. The clamp meter boasts an internal non-contact voltage detector and employs true RMS for more accurate readings up to 1500A AC and 750V AC.

With a tactile push button and dial interface, the Extech MA1500 displays readings on a backlit LCD display. Complete with relative mode ability for capacitance zero and offset adjustment, the clamp features data hold, peak hold and MIN/MAX functions.

The Extech MA1500 with a durable plastic housing is built for maximum user safety and has a CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V safety rating. The clamp operates from a 9V battery and has an auto power off function after 30 minutes. The device is covered by a one-year warranty and comes supplied with standard 4mm test leads, type K bead wire temperature probe (-30 to 300˚C), 9V battery and carry case.
