Extech SDL400 Datalogging Light Meter

The Extech SDL400 Datalogging Light Meter can measure light intensity across three ranges (2000 Lux, 20kLux or 100kLux) with a maximum resolution of 1Lux and basic accuracy of ±4%. Readings are cosine and colour corrected and high accuracy is ensured by a precision silicone photo diode with spectral response filter. Additionally, the light meter is capable of measuring temperature from -100˚C to ≥1200˚C via a type J or type K thermocouple (not included).

As a datalogging instrument, the Extech SDL400 displays readings on screen and also saves them to a supplied SD card or internal memory. The user can manually save up to 99 readings to the internal memory whilst 20M readings can be saved to the supplied 2GB SD card memory in datalogging mode. Transferring information to a PC is very easy thanks the removable SD card and data can be reported in PDF or Excel format.

Min/max readings are available and the user can set the sampling rate between 1s and 3600s. Readings are saved with a time-and-date stamp. The Extech SDL400 has a detachable light sensor on the end of a 1.1m cable and is operated using simple push buttons so it is extremely practical.

The light meter comes supplied with batteries, an SD card, hard carry case and protective cover. Extech provide a three-year warranty for the SDL400.
