FLIR A400 Elevated Skin Temperature Thermal System

The FLIR A400 Elevated Skin Temperature Thermal System offers advanced thermal imaging, compatible with new or pre-existing networks to provide a customisable system capable of detecting abnormal skin temperatures. While the A400 is not a diagnostic tool, it can be paired with the relative medical equipment and used as a device for potentially detecting illnesses by determining EBT (elevated body temperatures). This smart sensor designed for screening individuals features a 24˚ lens, an accuracy of ±2˚C and a thermal resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Tailor the system to suit safety needs with a vast array of configurable options.

An intuitive system, the FLIR A400 features a motorised focus function alongside a wealth of analytical tools. The thermal camera includes 10 spotmeters, 10 boxes or mask polygons, 3 Deltas, 2 isotherms (above/below/interval) and hot/cold detection capabilities. Analysis features such as the polygon line function enable the operator to increase thermal imagery definition for further analysis, similarly the Flexible Scene Enhancement (FSX) enhances low light details by increasing the contrast even in areas with little variance in temperature. With this advanced model, the option to adjust measurements and alarms based on a reference temperature source is also included.

Combining edge computing and an Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) with incorporated Wi-Fi, the FLIR A400 Elevated Skin Temperature Thermal System is a sophisticated thermal imaging tool. Compressed radiometric streaming actually reduces the bandwidth needed to share images from the A400 by 90%, also allowing for multiple cameras to be connected together. The device supports Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP, both of which simplify integration into HMI/SCADA systems. The imager can also easily integrate into web services with the REST API over XML or JSON. The FLIR A400 Thermal advanced system comes complete with a FLIR Axxx Accessory Kit and smart sensor configuration.

Blackbody Accessory

To further ensure the accuracy of the thermal readings, combine the FLIR A400 with a FLIR Blackbody Accessory. Designed to provide a stable reference source, this lightweight addition is built to help operators filter out changing ambient external temperatures which may be triggering false alarms. The blackbody is an important piece of any screening station set-up.
