FLIR DM284 Thermal Imaging Digital Multimeter with IGM
The FLIR DM284 Thermal Imaging Multimeter with IGM technology is a robust, feature rich 18-function TRMS digital multimeter, complete with an integrated 160x120 thermal imager powered by FLIR’s Lepton(R) thermal micro-camera core.
The integrated thermal imager allows the user to visually diagnose any electrical faults or abnormalities through displaying a real-time thermal image with a temperature measurement ranging from -20 to 150 Celsius on a large, high resolution 2.8” display. A selection of colour palettes can be programmed for the application at hand, including both high and low contrast profiles suitable for a wide range of temperature differences.
Thermal measurements allow electrical components such as panels, connectors, fuses and switchgear to be analysed without direct connection, thus quickly and safely pinpointing hot-spots efficiently. Aside from its thermal imaging capabilities, the FLIR DM284 also features a laser pointer and integrated work lights so the user can always see his or her way when working in poorly lit environments like switch cabinets.
Any issues discovered by FLIR’s Infrared Guided Measurement (IGM) technology can then be verified and confirmed using the FLIR DM284’s impressive range of contact measurements shown below, in order to help solve the most complex of electrical problems. Moreover, the current measuring range of the FLIR DM284 can be extended up to 3000A AC for industrial applications by selecting either the FLIR TA72 or TA74 flexible clamp from above.
