FLIR E54-EST Advanced Thermal Camera

The FLIR E54-EST Advanced Thermal Camera is a handheld, non-contact screening tool purpose-built to be the first line of defence against potential health risks. With a 320 × 240 thermal pixel resolution, the E54-EST accurately detects and quickly visualises the temperature of individuals with an elevated skin temperature. These easy-to-interpret measurements are taken within a range of 15°C to 45°C and with a thermal sensitivity of <40 mK at 30°C. This state-of-the-art FLIR IR Camera includes a fixed 24˚ lens, field of view (FOV) of 24° × 18° and an impressive onboard FLIR Screen-EST Mode.

FLIR Screen-EST Mode

Incorporated within the FLIR E54-EST, this feature is designed specifically to determine elevated skin temperatures and to reduce the burden on screening station operators. When a temperature, compared against a sampled average value, is found to be higher than the user-defined threshold an audible alarm will be produced. This average value can be updated either manually via Bluetooth using a remotely operated button in 'Button Mode', or automatically with each new screening in 'Auto Mode'.

Auto Mode

Button Mode

The intuitive FLIR Screen-EST Mode of the E54-EST offers helpful visual positioning guides for subjects and simple graphic pass/fail indicators for users. These thermal images refrain from displaying identifying facial features, maintaining privacy even further by not storing any images or sensitive personal information. All thermal temperature measurements captured by the EST mode require zero personal contact and are fully in line with social distancing protocols. If an individual tests above the designated threshold, they should then be evaluated using a medical device such as a thermometer.

Accurate Screening & Easy Set-Up

Ensure the accuracy of the FLIR E54-EST Advanced Thermal Camera with an automatic drift compensator based on ambient temperature measurements taken regularly throughout the day. Complete with 6 colour palette options, and four image modes including infrared, visual and picture-in-picture the E54-EST also incorporates patented FLIR MSX technology. Alongside high-performance hardware, smart analytics and reliable calibration options for optimising the screening process this thermal camera is fully compatible with FLIR Screen-EST Desktop software.

Screening can commence swiftly with the FLIR E54-EST camera thanks to its impressively limited ramp-up time and simple video connectivity. Featuring a bright touchscreen display, integrated tripod mount and 1-4x digital zoom this device can utilise either batteries or an external power source. The 2.5-hour battery life benefits from being cable-free, however, the external power option makes this camera an ideal option for establishing a permanent screening station. Other features include a removable 8GB SD card and a 2-meter drop-tested, IP54-rated protective outer casing.

FLIR Exx-EST Series

For a larger infrared pixel resolution, increased thermal sensitivity or alternate field of view the E86-EST Advanced Thermal Camera from FLIR is also available.
