FLIR E6 Thermal Imaging Camera
The FLIR E6 is a feature rich thermal imaging camera offering straight forward point and shoot operation that requires no prior thermal camera knowledge or experience. Despite being designed for beginners, the E6 offers better image quality and more advanced thermal analysis features than usually associated with entry-level cameras.
An increased image resolution of 160 x 120 pixels and the ability to detect temperature differences as small as 0.06C enables more accurate infrared images to be captured. The inclusion of a built-in digital camera means that digital images can also be taken and used for comparison and easier location of faults during the reporting phase. The digital image also provides a visual reference next to the thermal image.
This camera supports manual tuning of level and span with 3 measurment modes, a centre spot and Min/Max area box complete with adjustable isotherms.
Built with a fixed 45 degree lens the FLIR E6 has a much wider field of view than your average entry-level camera, enabling users to view a larger area from a shorter distance giving greater flexibility previously only available through expensive optional lenses.
Additionally the FLIR E6 is equipped with the patented MSX imaging feature which provides even more image detail in real-time (see additional image thumbnails for examples). This unique feature adds visual definition to your thermal images through a fusion of digital image detail overlayed onto the infrared image. In addition, the E6 has hot and cold spot recognition modes where areas that fall above or below a user defined temperature threshold are clearly highlighted on the image in either red (for hotspots) or blue (for coldspots).
The FLIR E6 comes supplied in a robust carry case complete with charger, calibration certificate and a download lead. The camera is also supplied with FLIR Tools Software used for post analysis of your images. Users can add temperature measurements to the thermal image retrospectively in the software, add notes, create and customise professional reports. The quality of this software goes hand in hand with the quality of the camera and combined they form a powerful thermal imaging package. FLIR Tools is both Windows and Mac compatible.
Complete with a simplified user interface the FLIR E6 is a high performance thermal imager that provides excellent value for money in the inspection and maintenance of electrical, heating and plumbing installations including under floor heating, pipe work and radiators. The E6 also offers specifications high enough to even cover certain building and heat loss applications.
