FLIR E86-EST Advanced Thermal Camera

The FLIR E86-EST Advanced Thermal Camera is a non-contact, handheld screening device built with an impressive on-camera FLIR Screen-EST Mode to be the initial line of defence against possible health risks. With a 464 x 348 IR pixel resolution, the E86-EST can determine the presence of an elevated skin temperature through accurate detection and rapid visualisation. These easy-to-understand measurements are captured with a thermal sensitivity of <40 mK or <30 mK at 30°C depending on the lens and within a range of 15°C to 45°C. With the choice of either a 24˚ or 42˚ lens, the E86-EST's field of view (FOV) can be either 24° × 18° or 42° × 32°.

FLIR Screen-EST Mode

Featured with the FLIR E86-EST, this mode is a system designed to simplify elevated skin temperature readings and alleviate the burden on screening station operators. All temperatures are first compared against a sampled average value, should the result be higher than a user-defined threshold an audible alarm will sound. This average value can be edited either automatically with each new screening in Auto mode, or via a Bluetooth-connected remote control in 'Button Mode'.

Button Mode

Intuitive and user-friendly, the FLIR Screen-EST Mode within the E86-EST provides useful positioning guides for targets and a simple pass/fail graphic for users. Privacy is a priority with the FLIR Screen-EST Mode as thermal images do not display identified facial features, nor does the mode store any images or sensitive personal data. Requiring zero personal contact to take a reading, all thermal temperature measurements are completely in line with social distancing protocols. If an individual tests above the designated threshold, they should then be evaluated using a medical device such as a thermometer.

Accurate Screening & Easy Set-Up

With a drift feature compensating for differences in ambient temperatures, the FLIR E54-EST ensures accuracy by automatically taking regular temperature readings. Complete with a continuous laser distance meter for focus, four image modes and a choice of 6 colour palettes the E86-EST also uses Patented FLIR MSX technology. Alongside smart analytics, high-performance hardware and reliable calibration options for optimising the screening process this thermal camera is fully compatible with FLIR Screen-EST Desktop software.

Commence screening swiftly with the FLIR E86-EST camera due to its exceptionally limited ramp-up time and easy video connectivity. Featuring an integrated tripod mount, bright touchscreen display and 1-4x digital zoom this instrument can be powered by both batteries or an external power source. The FLIR E86-EST battery life last for 2.5 hours and has the added benefit of being cable-free. However, the external power option makes this camera an ideal option for establishing a permanent screening station. Other features include a removable 8GB SD card and a 2-meter drop-tested, IP54-rated protective outer casing.
