FLIR GF309 Furnace and Electrical Inspection Camera

The FLIR GF309 Furnace and Electrical Inspection Camera is specifically designed for potentially hazardous, high-temperature industrial furnace applications. Custom-built to see through flames during furnace or boiler inspections, this FLIR camera comes with a special mid-wave 'flame filter' for temperatures up to 1500˚C. With a temperature range between -40 and 1500˚C, the GF309 boasts an impressive accuracy of ±1°C, an IR resolution of 320 × 240 pixels and an excellent thermal sensitivity of <25 mK. Ideal for monitoring furnaces, heaters and boilers such as those in the chemical, petrochemical, and utility industries, the FLIR GF309's exceptional temperature range is also perfectly suited for high-accuracy electrical and mechanical inspections.

Visualising gas leaks in real-time the FLIR GF309 Inspection Camera provides increased protection with a detachable heat shield. Contoured to improve worker safety and comfort, the removable shield reflects heat away from both the camera and the operator. Outstanding accuracy combined with temperature measurements from across the entire surface of gas-fired furnaces, chemical heaters and coal-fired boilers results in a process which is quick, easy and most importantly safe. This dual-use camera, for both furnace and ambient temperatures, produces infrared images which show isolated areas of specific tubes currently overheating and not being detected by the temperature thermocouple. Typically, this can result in a localised tube failure and cause an unnecessary facility shutdown.

A high-performance tiltable LCD viewfinder is incorporated within the FLIR GF309 Furnace and Electrical Inspection Camera, delivering bright and vivid imagery with high contrast even in poor lighting or under direct sunlight. With flip-out functionality, this 4.3-inch colour display includes a 1-8x continuous digital zoom and 800 x 400 pixels. Capture both radiometric and non-radiometric IR-video before enhancing findings with features such as manual level & span adjustment and emissivity correction. The built-in 3.2-megapixel digital camera includes autofocus capabilities, two video lamps and a laser pointer.

Save images and video from the FLIR GF309 to any off-the-shelf video recorder for easy archiving and documentation. Use an SDHC card, or the supplied removable 2 GB SD card, in one of the GF309's two card slots and store up to 5000 JPEG images with post-process capability. Embedded with GPS data, digital images can be used to precisely locate inspected areas and are completely compatible with FLIR QuickReport and FLIR Reporter software when creating professional inspection reports. Ergonomically designed with a rotating handle and direct access buttons, the camera includes ports for standard USB, USB-A & USB Mini-B connections. Avoid unscheduled shutdowns or catastrophic failures with this IP54-rated IR inspection camera featuring a battery life capable of 3 hours of continuous observation.
