FLIR VT8-1000 Electrical Tester

The FLIR VT8-1000 Electrical Tester can measure electrical parameters such as voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance. Additionally, it can perform a continuity test and even has non-contact voltage detection that warns of live conductors through an LED and audible signal.

The FLIR VT8-1000’s current range goes from 0 to 200A AC/DC with an accuracy of ±2.5% and a resolution of 0.1A. The voltage range goes from 0 to 1000V AC/DC with an accuracy of ±1.5% and a resolution of 0.1V. AC readings for both parameters benefit from TRMS for additional accuracy.

The 15.5mm fixed jaw clamp found on the FLIR VT8-1000 can be used to measure current in large-diameter cables and is great for working into tight spaces inside wiring cabinets. The tester is designed for one-handed use and has an integrated torch and storage facility for folding away test leads when not in use.

Readings are displayed on the FLIR VT8-1000’s backlit LCD screen which has data hold, DCA zero and relative mode. The clear dial operation is extremely simple and auto-ranging helps provide maximum precision.

The FLIR VT8-1000 has a safety rating of Cat IV 600V, Cat III 1000V and comes with test leads and batteries. It is covered by a three-year warranty.
