Fluke 1507 Insulation Resistance Tester

The Fluke 1507 Insulation Resistance Tester stands out because of its enormous measurement range from 0.01MΩ to 10GΩ. Five different test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V allow a great deal of choice for the user whilst usability is further bolstered by a range of advanced features. Most notably, AC/DC voltage measurement up to 600V and earth bond resistance measurement add important extra options to the principal use of insulation testing.

Polarisation index and dielectric absorption ratio are automatically calculated by the Fluke 1507, thus saving time, and the 'compare' function means that repetitive tests are streamlined via a pass/fail function. Furthermore, a remote probe brings greater access to awkward test locations as well as making measurement repetition easier and simpler.

Test results are displayed on the Fluke 1507’s backlit digital screen whilst pass/fail and dangerous voltage indications are shown in the form of LED lights. The user benefits from simple dial operation and a large ‘test’ button which is easy to press when wearing gloves.

The Fluke 1507 is an extremely safe instrument thanks to its automatic voltage detection which prevents tests when a voltage of 30V or over is detected. The inputs are safety rated as Cat IV up to 600V so the user can have confidence when operating the instrument.

The product comes supplied with test leads, probe tips and crocodile clips. Overall, the Fluke 1507 constitutes a sophisticated, safe insulation tester with impressive measurement capabilities.
