Fluke 374 FC True RMS Clamp Meter

The Fluke 374 FC True RMS Clamp Meter is a smart clamp meter that can take readings for AC/DC current (600A), AC/DC voltage (1000V), resistance (6000Ω) and capacitance (1000µF) before sending them via Bluetooth to the user’s smartphone or tablet. Information collected on a tablet/smartphone can be shown on screen, collated and reported with the free Fluke Connect app for iOS and Android. Advanced measurement options include Inrush current for system start-up phases and a low pass filter, thus providing a lot of choice in this compact instrument, and true RMS measurement improves accuracy when assessing AC parameters.

Results are shown on the backlit digital screen as well as on a smartphone/tablet and the Fluke 374 FC also offers the option of min/max/avg recording to get a clear idea of system outputs. Display hold allows a reading to be frozen on screen and continuity is detected in resistance measuring mode. The 34mm jaw fits easily around wires and operates via a simple trigger whilst the dial and push-button interface is also very easy to use.

The Fluke 374 FC is a safe device to use thanks to its Cat III safety rating up to 1000V and Cat IV safety rating up to 600V. Furthermore, the Fluke Connect app and wireless connectivity means that the user can connect the instrument to a system before observing results on a smartphone screen from a safe distance. The streamlined design makes it easy to operate with just one hand and the device is also compatible with a Fluke iFlex flexible current clamp which increases AC current measurement capacity to 2500A and brings greater access to cramped, awkward wiring.

This database can be accessed via the app from anywhere in the world so it not only provides a handy, smart database, it also allows colleagues to check and analyse data even when they are not on site.
