Fluke 62 MAX Infrared Thermometer

The Fluke 62 MAX Infrared Thermometer is a compact, ergonomic instrument from Fluke that provides fast, accurate temperature readings from -30˚C to +500˚C through remote infrared measurement. This allows the user to speedily and safely identify hot spots that may indicate problems in electrical panels as well as telling whether a motor or HVAC system is too cold or too hot. Adjustable emissivity means that different surfaces can be measures whilst the <0.5s response time gives the user speedy, accurate readings.

Results are shown on the Fluke 62 MAX’s bright, backlit screen and display options include min/max readings, the average reading, and the differential between two temperatures. Units can also be toggled in between ˚C and ˚F. Furthermore, alarms alert the user if temperature falls outside set limits so problems are immediately apparent. The 10:1 distance-to-spot ratio allows the user to take measurements at a safe distance from dangerously hot objects or systems but does not compromise on accuracy thanks to the 62 MAX’s laser pointer which highlights the measurement point.

The Fluke 62 MAX has an ergonomic shape and slight and portable for ease use. It has also been designed with the testing conditions of on-site inspections in mind so it is weatherproof to IP54 standard and has also been drop-tested from a height of 3 metres whilst a handy hook allows the instrument to attach to a belt loop when not in use. Overall, it is a very accurate, sturdy non-contact thermometer with a large measurement range.
