Fluke 771 Milliamp Process Clamp Meter

The Fluke 771 Milliamp Process Clamp Meter provides the user with an innovative method of troubleshooting and performing repairs on 4-20mA PLC and control loop systems. It can measure DC current with a fantastic resolution of 0.01mA over a range of 99.9mA so it is also suitable for older systems that use a 10mA to 50mA signal. Accuracy stands at ±0.2% + 5 counts. One of the major features of the meter is its ability to measure current without breaking the loop, thus saving time and making testing more efficient.

Measurements are taken through the Fluke 771’s detachable 4.5mm clamp which can be fed into tight spaces in order to fit around the correct wire. A built-in torch illuminates the work area and the screen has a backlight for poor lighting conditions. An mA reading and a percentage of the 4 to 20mA are both shown on the two-line display whilst a hold function captures stable readings.

The Fluke 771 Process Loop Calibrator comes supplied with a carry case and has been drop-tested to 1m so it is sturdy enough to stand up to regular use in the field. The 2 AA batteries last for roughly 40 hours.
