Fluke ii900 Industrial Acoustic Imager

The Fluke ii900 Industrial Acoustic Imager enables engineers and technicians to detect leaks in compressed air, gas, steam and vacuum systems which can negatively impact production uptime and machine performance. Minimising leaks can help improve cost efficiency considerably, with many air compressors and similar systems losing up to 30% of the electricity used to power them to leakage.

Using Fluke’s SoundSight technology, the ii900 converts sound waves into visual images which are rendered and displayed in real-time via the device’s monitor. An array of sensitive internal microphones enable the device to detect even the slightest sounds at highly specific frequencies from up to 70 meters away and provide visual indication of their location. Using the integrated SoundMap technology, frequency levels are automatically adjusted to filter out background noise, allowing imager to detect typically inaudible leaks within high-noise environments.

Usability was high on the agenda when designing the ii900, with a large 7” touch screen LCD and an 3x digital zoom allowing for straightforward image/video collection and viewing. Internal memory allows for up to 999 images to be stored directly on the device, in addition to 20 video files up to 5 minutes in duration. USB-C is used for data transfer, allowing you to export the collection material to an external device or PC. The LeakQ reporting software (available for free on Fluke’s website) will provide additional analysis capability and sharing of results, allowing you to create detailed reports of captured images and accompanying data.

The Fluke ii900 enables previously unidentified issues to be quickly and easily spotted within compressed gas and vacuum systems. Fluke’s impressive SoundSight and SoundMap technology provide accurate visual representations of leaks, while the well-considered design and functionality of the unit offers great convenience during operation.
