Fluke T5-1000 Electrical Tester

With an OpenJaw clamp and test lead inputs, the Fluke T5-1000 Electrical Tester measures both AC/DC voltage (up to 1000V) and AC current (up to 100A) whilst further options include resistance measurement (up to 1000Ω) and continuity testing with an audible buzzer. The device’s True RMS capabilities mean that readings for AC parameters are more representative of real outputs whilst the T5-1000 also automatically detects whether voltage is AC or DC, thus saving time when carrying out inspections.

The most prominent feature of the Fluke T5-1000 is its fixed-jaw clamp which can slot easily around wires to take measurements for AC current. A simple dial is used to operate the device whilst the large ‘HOLD’ button activates the data hold function. All results are shown on the digital screen and there is an LED warning light for when dangerous voltage is detected.

The Fluke T5-1000 possesses a slim, ergonomic design which makes it very easy to handle whilst grooves in the back provide an easy way of holding test leads. Both the device inputs and the supplied test leads and probe tips meet EN61010-1 Cat IV to 600V and Cat III to 1000V whilst the additional SlimReach test probes meet Cat II up to 1000V. Overall, the Fluke T5-1000 offers a speedy, straightforward way of taking accurate measurements for voltage, current and resistance.
