Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz Cable Certifier

The Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz Cable Certifier has numerous sophisticated testing features and an enormous frequency range that allows it test to today’s most rigorous standards – Cat 8.1 and 8.2 – as well as providing plenty of scope for meeting future requirements. The certifier tests copper and fibre optic data cables with a standard wiremap that incorporates distance-to-fault whilst also providing more sophisticated tests.

These sophisticated tests include TDRL and TDX troubleshooting that allow the user to find crosstalk and return loss faults, thus locating minor issues that may not be picked up by the standard wiremap test. Other tests include TCL / ELTCTL, common / differential NEXT, resistance unbalance, and shield integrity.

While it's predecessor proved popular, the LANTEK IV-S boasts a sizable upgrade in spec, now sporting dual cores with twice the CPU, RAM and memory of the original IV model.

The Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz has an intuitive user interface and is operated via a high-resolution colour touchscreen, making use of Trend's updated 3.0 software as it's operating system, giving the user the fastest user experience yet. Voltage protection protects the certifier if it is accidentally connected to a PoE source and the partner finder function emits an audible tone and visual indication when the verifier is connected to a remote unit.

With USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, the Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz has impressive communication facilities that allow it to transfer saved results to a PC or to the Ideal AnyWARE Cloud. This software package allows partners to view test results remotely and can also be to pre-configure tests, share reports, store results, and manage a fleet of verifiers.

The Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz comes supplied with two universal chargers and both the display and remote handsets are powered by rechargeable Li-ion batteries. Other supplied accessories include a USB cable, hanging straps, a carry case and two RJ45 VisiLINQ Permanent Link Adaptors.

VisiLINQ™ Permanent Link Modules

The two VisiLINQ Permanent Link Modules supplied with the Trend LANTEK IV-S 3000MHz. These allow testing and certifying of UTP/STP/Cat5e/6/6a/8.1 cabling in between the patch panel and work area outlet. A test can be triggered by connecting the module and pushing a button without recourse to the tester handsets and the replaceable RJ45 tips help reduce ongoing costs.
