The Kane 450 Flue Gas Analyser is capable of measuring a range of gas-related parameters in boiler flues. These include carbon monoxide (0 to 4000ppm), temperature (0 to 600˚C), pressure (±200mbar), carbon dioxide (0 to 30%), efficiency (0 to 99.9%), and excess air (0 to 250%). There is also a let by and tightness testing option.

Readings are accurate and precise and the analyser is ideal for use on commercial and domestic boilers running off fuels such as natural gas, propane, butane, LPG, light oils, and wood pellets. It has an H2-compensated CO sensor, meaning that it is accurate to ±5% over 100ppm, and is capable of ambient and flue CO tests.

The Kane 450 is operated via a 16-point dial and four simple push buttons. Readings are shown on the four-line backlit digital display and the internal memory has space for up to 99 combustion tests, 20 pressure tests, 20 tightness tests, 20 temperature tests and 20 ambient CO tests. Hard copies of results can be printed with an optional KMIRP infrared printer.

A battery life of 12 hours or more makes the Kane 450 extremely practical and it is supplied with a protective rubber sleeve that helps withstand the knocks of daily use. A magnetic mount allows the analyser to be mounted on a boiler for hands free use. The instrument is supplied with a flue probe, batteries, and pressure fittings as standard.
