"Secure SMS messaging allows efficient token-less prepayment"

  • Description

Landis+Gyr E470 Single Phase Smart Meter 100A Direct Connected

The Landis+Gyr E470 Single Phase Smart Meter 100A Direct Connected is ideal for use in residential buildings and has several features which help overcome problems associated with prepayment systems. In addition to ably performing all the functions one would expect of a single phase smart meter, the Landis+Gyr E470 uses SMS messaging rather than GSM which therefore allows token-less prepayment as well as remote meter reading and programming. Token-less payment avoids problems such as token loss, out of hours calls, and other associated issues, thereby making life easier for providers, consumers, landlords, homeowners and tenants.

The Landis+Gyr is suitable for standard domestic circuits and is MID approved so the user can have confidence in the device. The clear, backlit screen means that it is easy to operate and message encryption provides security and peace of mind. Overall, it is a great way of streamlining prepayment services and monitoring electricity use in a residential setting. The user can go to www.meteronline.co.uk to monitor the meter remotely.
