"A professional and accurate way to locate RCD's or detect circuits through walls & floors."

  • Description

    MARTINDALE CD1000 Cable Detector Kit

The Martindale CD1000 Cable detector kit is ideal for tracing cables in walls and underground, locating fuses/breakers on live or dead circuits. It assists electrical engineers locating interruptions and open-circuits in cables and electrical floor heating systems. It can be used for tracing metallic water and heating pipes.

Using advanced digital circuit technology the Transmitter sends, to the target cable, an AC voltage modulated by digital signals which generate an alternating electric field. The alternating field is detected by the receivers head, magnified and decoded. By localising the maximum signal strength detected, the path of a cable can be traced, a fuse can be found or a break in a cable/conductor can be detected.

The CD1000 is supplied as a complete kit: 1 x Transmitter and 1 x Receiver in a case, set of test leads with crocodile clips, earthing rod, batteries and instructions.

    • Automatic or manual adjustment of receiving signal sensitivity
    • Proven digitally coded sender signal guarantees clear signal identification
    • Operation on Live / Dead circuits without additional instruments
    • Transmitter with LCD display for transmitting level & transmitting code
    • Signal code displayed (aids use of multiple transmitters)

Bought this to detect a break in a lighting circuit cable within a wall. Managed to trace the break point to within 40mm. Just the job.
